Early Magazine Covers

The early magazine covers have similar qualities of book covers.
They contain no information of whats inside of the magazine.

Poster covers convey a mood.
The picture was relied on to catch the readers intrest.
Pictures Married to Type
Some magazines depended on the cover lines to draw the reader in.
Cover lines were modest. Fashion magazines were more creative.
In the Forest of Words

Cover lines are equaly important to the art.
Words overlap the art.
People rent parts of their bodies for advertisment.
